Meeting the Majors
Month 1
1. Learn
In the first month, we:
-
raise the spiritual energy by creating an altar, doing guided meditations and more.
-
familiarize ourselves with the major cards in our tarot deck.
-
learn how to use a shamanic journey to meet and speak with our guides.
-
work at being in an "I don't know" mindset, to be humble, to be in "beginner's mind" as the Buddhists call it so we're open to receiving messages.
2. Do
Get to know the major cards...

-
Separate your major cards from your minor cards in your deck.
-
Study each card. Have fun with this. Spread them out. Study them. What sticks out for you?
-
Do not look in the manual that came with your cards or read a book. First, develop a personal relationship with the deck.
-
Fill out this blank chart with your personal expression of each card.
Ask a question and pull a card.

Journey to meet with a major tarot card
Before listening to this audio:
-
Separate your major cards from your minor cards in your deck.
-
Ask an open-ended question. Say, "The issue is my finances" instead of "Why can't I make more money?" Keep the question open as to draw in more response from your guides.
-
Pick a card randomly. Study it. What stands out for you?
-
Make sure you have uninterrupted time and space to follow this guided meditation where you will speak with the archetypes of the tarot.

4. Review
This month you'll start with raising the energy to help create a bridge between our current mundane world and Spirit. You do this by picking a tarot deck that speaks to your soul, building an altar, studying the major archetypes of the tarot, and finally doing a loving kindness meditation and a journey visualization.

Here's an option for planning your month:

Week 1 Pick a deck and build your altar.
Week 2 Study the cards and fill out the Major Card Chart.
Week 3 Listen to the meditation, and do the guided visualization.
Week 4 Practice, practice, practice.
